@Chord_O_Calls That's true. It could be good in the context of the set. If there are quality cards that create multiple bodies or good lifegain synergies and payoffs it may break the trend.

@RepTuneRepeat Yeah I think it’ll be quite good! Way too early guess would be a C+, maybe B range if BG is one of the better decks. That ability has historically has been quite strong (albeit on 1 drops mostly) and “when a creature enters, trigger your lifegain payoffs” sounds good to me

@Chord_O_Calls 2 mana 2/2s have been so bad in the last few sets. Is the ability enough? I'm surprised its not a 2/3 since it's a signpost. I guess we aren't ready for 2 mana 2/3 without a downside?

Put all basic lands in your Everything Pizza decks. 50% of 17Lands Pizza decks don't have all 5 and they win 4.5%p fewer games. As simple as.
Also avoid splash duals. Make sure your duals contribute to at least 1 of the main colors. So UR and BG in UG 5C deck, but not WB.

The Unhinged basic lands are available as a Daily Deal in the MTG Arena store. Watching you win the Pro Tour playing with these beautiful lands made me a lifelong fan. John Avon is the GOAT when it comes to basic land art, and these are his best work. @thepchapin

One of the misunderstood features of MTGArena is hand smoothing algorithm. With help of @17lands and @LordsofLimited discord I took a crack at how it works in 40 card decks. First things: it is proportional so your average lands per hand are the same as in normal hand draw: 1/x

I'm new to Cubing, but Green in the Power Cube seems about as bad as Red in Spiderman to me.

Green ramp strategies take a substantial hit in power/effectiveness when fast mana like moxen and rituals exist. Why play green when you can ramp in blue? I also thing green needs a bit of a power boost in the cube overall, not many premium cards.

@NEO_MTG I was shocked at Teferi's WR, especially since Ux Control is so good in FIN. I had the chance to 1st pick Teferi once, but I picked a premium removal spell instead. I'm not sure if that's correct, but Teferi is triple Blue...

Final game was looking a bit dicey until my op decided to trade/flip my Valentine just before their fat chocobo hit chapter 4... 💀. Teferi was great, don't trust the 50.4% all player GIH on that one. Won't ever get enough stats for top players but imagine it would be much higher

Same problem with people calling Tarkir Dragonstorm a 2 deck format. Yea, maybe if you only played Arena BO1 for the first 10 days of the format. There are plenty of viable decks when the people at your table understand the format and how to properly evaluate the cards.

FIN bringing lots of new players to mtg is great! But it has seemed like blue is always open in the Arena queues, and I have a hunch the two factors have a small correlation. As usual, I preach for patience until week 3 when quickdraft goes live, but still fun now anyways 🙂
