New leaks from hardware expert Brad Lynch indicate that the Steam Machine has received the largest cost increase among Valve’s new hardware due to global shortages and price spikes in RAM and memory components for PCs. Thanks to AI, the Steam Machine could now end up more expensive than the standalone Steam Frame VR headset when they launch. That’s exactly the opposite of what Valve wanted to do in its initial plans. Valve has already acknowledged delays and pricing reviews for these devices, but exact prices haven’t been revealed yet.
