@gobbyvlr @vct_emea @Crws_vlrt @FrosTvsYou @RiotJaker Situations like these are incredibly complex. Things like contract structures, legal jurisdictions, visa circumstances, etc, are always unique. It's tempting to compare but the honest truth is that behind closed doors, no two situations are ever the same (or even vaguely close!)

@vct_emea Well done to EMEA, but how can this process be smoother MIDSEASON for the ULF players than when you had an entire offseason to help out @Crws_vlrt & @FrosTvsYou ?? @RiotJaker 🤦‍♂️

I firmly believe that the next @R6esports event should be held on a cruise ship and here’s why: 📄 No visa considerations at sea 🛳️ 2,000+ rooms is enough for everyone ⚓️ Centralised event, no travel for fans or players once on board 🍺 Pools, Bars & Entertaining spaces on board

I wanted to share a bit more context about the change of city. As planning progressed, we needed to make an adjustment to our original venue plans to ensure we could deliver the experience you expect from an event of this magnitude. Staying in Spain was important to us, and the Olimpic Arena in the Barcelona area stood out as a venue that allows us to deliver the scale, atmosphere, and community experience we think you’re gonna love. Few crowds bring the passion and enthusiasm that the Spanish fans offer, and we’re confident the venue and the city will create a great environment for those in attendance. More details to follow later this year – we’re looking forward to celebrating the end of the season together in August!

Proud to back **Enclave** — a LAN event built by two friends (ex‑Multiplay). I’ll be there in person, and it’ll only be as good as the community makes it. If you love LANs, come say hi: **Are you going?** Follow **@EnclaveLan** for updates. 👊🎮 #EnclaveLAN #LANCommunity

Super excited to be partnering with @MovemberUK 💜 This one genuinely means a lot to me. Movember focuses on some important areas of health that let's be honest, we don't always spend enough time thinking about. I’ve been a big fan of the work Movember does for a long time, so getting to introduce them to our players and team staff at the Player Summit last week was really special. Pro play isn’t easy. The pressure to perform, online criticism, time away from home, it all adds up. We want to do everything we can to better support the players and teams across all corners of the VAL esports ecosystem, and with Movember we can expand on the tools and support in place to help make our environment healthier and happier for everyone. We want to raise the bar for how we support the players on stage and carry those same values into the wider community. If this helps even one of you feel more comfortable talking about mental health with your mates, or asking for help when you need it, that’s a win. And remember, if you're going through a tough time, or have a friend you think is going through a tough time, have that conversation - it aint weak to speak.

Hi VCT EMEA fans, Ahead of today’s show, I wanted to jump on here and address the ongoing tech issues we’ve been facing during Stage 1. First and foremost, I want to apologise to our fans, players, talent, and partners. What you’ve experienced falls well below the standards you deserve when it comes to both the player environment and the viewer experience. In real talk - I know this has sucked and it's just not good enough. To provide some transparency: we’ve been experiencing recurring technical issues that have affected gameplay stability when matches are played offline at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. Resolving this is a really complex challenge while we’re in the middle of the Regular Season, because the studio is being used almost everyday, giving us little time to take systems offline and investigate thoroughly. It also requires the attention of multiple teams, both on-site and around the world, and involves everything from network infrastructure to game and client access. That has meant that in order to continue matches without extended delays, we’ve had to temporarily switch to online servers. Unfortunately, this introduced new challenges, including ping-related issues leading to further tech pauses. But at the end of the day the 'why' doesn't matter. What matters is that this has been hugely frustrating for the players competing, casters and co-streamers working on the show, and most importantly for the fans watching back home. I assure you everyone here cares deeply about the VCT, is working hard to resolve the root cause, and is focused on getting back to the standard you expect and deserve as soon as possible. We have a window between the end of the Regular Season and Playoffs kicking off on May 8 during which time we'll be able to more deeply investigate the issue and find a solution that gets us back to the standards fans deserve. We’ll continue to keep you updated, including sharing the progress we’ve made ahead of the Playoffs beginning. Apologies once again, we know this isn’t up to the standards you expect and deserve. We will keep working hard until everything is fixed.

Hey folks, I wanted to share some additional context around our decision to revert to a 17:00 CET start time for matches. EMEA’s a difficult region to schedule for because the timezone range is so narrow. We moved to 18:00 last year to action feedback that people were missing the first map due to school/work. At the time it worked alright, but average match length rocketed up during Kickoff and broke the system. The truth is EMEA teams are just too well matched this year and that means lots of banger matches. We know it’s more frustrating to have to stop watching a match because you have work tomorrow than it is to miss the first map because you’re on your way home. Reverting back to 17:00 will make sure this doesn’t happen (except in the most extreme scenarios). We’ve kept the BO5s at 18:00 since there’s much less risk of those running late. Fan availability in most EMEA countries peaks around 21:00–23:00 CET, and we want to make sure no one misses our biggest moments.

We’re trialing a new podcast – affectionally dubbed The Spike Drop – with the first episode dropping March 20 at 4:30 PM CET! As this is a bit of an experiment so we’d really appreciate your feedback! Please let us know what you love, what you don’t, and what you’d like to hear more of in the future.
