NEW: Bodycam footage released by the San Diego Police Department shows a woman continuing to advance toward officers with a ballpoint pen even after being shot multiple times. Police say the April 15, 2026 incident happened near 16th Street and Island Avenue in East Village after officers responded to reports of a woman allegedly stabbing a man. According to SDPD, 32-year-old Denise Guzman ignored repeated commands to drop the pen and moved toward officers, leading Officer Grijalva to open fire. Authorities say she was later subdued with tasers and survived after being hospitalized. The stabbing victim was also treated for injuries.
