@MCSavours Well done Markus. The PM has had more than enough chances. He IS the chaos in the party. The country deserves better. The sooner he is gone, the sooner we can regain some confidence back

4/4. What the Party needs now is leadership with a credible vision for the country, a clear sense of direction, purpose and ambition. Those skills exist within our ranks, and I am confident we can find a leader who has them.

1/4 I have listened carefully to the Prime Minister’s speech. Sir Keir Starmer is a decent, principled and kind man. But his leadership is not working, and it is with genuine regret that I say so.

We will be judged on our actions, not just words.  We have to show that we understand the scale of response the moment calls for. Labour exists to make working people better off. That is not happening fast enough. And needs to change now. Proud to address #CWU26

Putin is rubbing his hands at the war in the Middle East because he thinks higher oil prices will let him line his pockets. I will always defend British interests at home and abroad, which is why we are taking action against Russia’s shadow fleet today.

We will be defined by our ability to stand up for British interests in this volatile world. To make our country more secure and resilient. To give working people a fairer deal and deliver more opportunities for their children.

Keir Starmer won a massive mandate 18 months ago, for five years to deliver on Labour’s manifesto that we all stood on. We should let nothing distract us from our mission to change Britain and we support the Prime Minister in doing that.

@BBCNews 🤣this is such an embarrassment. It doesn’t take a genius to understand how to stop the boats. The BBC are just doing this because GB news have showed the government, and the mainstream media how easy it is. Proving how little the government are wanting to stop the gangs

Football is in our country’s DNA. It means so much to so many of us. That’s why I’m proud that today we deliver on our promise to fans as the landmark Football Governance Act becomes law. Protecting clubs across the country and giving fans more say in how they are run.

Today I launched the world’s first sanctions regime against people smugglers and organised immigration crime, which are key drivers of irregular migration to the UK. It is our moral duty to smash this evil trade. These callous criminals will have nowhere to hide.
Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office@FCDOGovUK

🌍 A world-first move from the UK. From tomorrow, people smugglers and those helping them can be hit with tough new sanctions - frozen assets, UK travel bans, and public exposure. We’re going after the networks fuelling this deadly trade, wherever they operate.

Over the last 24 hours I have received a huge number of lovely and heartfelt messages from people who have expressed their dismay at my resignation, urging me to reconsider. After 11 months of working as a volunteer to build a political party from scratch, with barely a single day off, my tweet was a decision born of exhaustion. I only came into politics out of a sense of duty, to serve the country I love. The country that had been so kind to my parents and presented me with immense opportunity. Out of a sense of duty to do whatever I could to reverse decades of decline and make this a country one in which we could be excited for our children to grow up. I came into politics out of belief that Nigel Farage was the man to deliver that. Having read the messages, I believe in these things more than ever. I know the mission is too important and I cannot let people down.  So, I will be continuing my work with Reform, my commitment redoubled.  Reform has come a long way since I was appointed Chairman, and has moved from ‘startup’ to ‘scaleup’.  Given this, and that we have now won power at a local level, I will focus on a new role. I will be running the UK DOGE team to fight for taxpayers, as well as working on party policy and representing it in the media.  I will continue to give all my time to the most important project of my life, getting a Reform government elected with Nigel as Prime Minister. 🇬🇧
