If it is priority based on payment amount (if I ever need it) no….but example, we had a 10m dollar home burn down and a 120k dollar home got saved instead….if your paying damn 70plus in property taxes, your kids is in private school, you have security systems etc that automatically will call a cop in a worst case scenario…why does the rich person have to pay more and their home burn down….see the flaw there? It should be you pay for what you get and the state would figure out more fair ways to raise moneys needed for the growth of their community….everytime you move to a new or bigger home as the real estate Market balloons you get more and more screwed….but the people who complain are people who don’t own homes or have never been in a situation to realize how much property taxes is of their escrow.
