I was able to attend a number of events in West Michigan this morning honoring our service members who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our country.

#MSU needs to return to its roots and refocus on its core mission. Taxpayers and students deserve confidence that their dollars are being put to good use. I look forward to discussing the important role MSU has to play here in Michigan and the university recommitting itself to the principles it was founded on as we continue to work through the state budget process.

Good week at #MSU Started the week with Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins at the Dairy Farm and wrapped up the week at the 38th annual horticulture student plant sale. Picked up a few plants too!

In Lansing, Michigan with the incredible @RepTomBarrett at the MSU Dairy Research Facility! And we heard directly from producers and delivered real results. 🇺🇸🥛🐄    Michigan leads as the #2 state for specialty crops, and we’re backing that up with:     • TWO new Specialty Crop Investments (SCRI + Block Grants to states)   • Expanded funding through the One Big Beautiful Bill   • Additional bridge payments to support farmers right now      At the same time, we’re investing in the future. Training the next generation to grow a $15.7B dairy industry that powers Michigan’s ag economy.      This is what delivering for farmers looks like!
