@edserkins Yes. Derek works so well as a protagonist because all his storylines had enough depth to explain his behaviour but it wasn't that well explored. When Mark comes and their divorce, the whole thing was a mess when it could have served so much angst.

See honest to god I grew to adore Addison but this whole Addison mark affair thing was handled way too poorly by literally everyone including derek's mom. And Derek's trauma about a lot of stuff was pushed under the carper because good hair and charm 🤷

He was passive-aggressive towards Garrett because, in his mind, Garrett came from privilege and financial backing and was ungrateful for it. Once he knew Garrett's reasoning, he wasn't like that anymore. It's almost like you people watch the show with your eyes closed.
