@thesamparr @HamptonFounders —the 0.75 percent fee of assets under management they pay their money manager. On 5M that’s 37.5K a year. But it’s hard to spot this expense —fees on their index funds —their home upkeep / repairs —etc

@thesamparr @HamptonFounders They likely miss —their many lumpy expenses like property taxes, paying once a year for their tax return, that one big vet bill every other year, the basement flooding, vacations, etc —they don’t consider the personal expenses they run through their business like their admin

Part of the @HamptonFounders allocation survey... We asked people what their monthly burn was. Shockingly low in my opinion.

And once I do I feel so much better.

In every situation there's two choices: 1) Full acceptance or 2) Taking action Often, I begin in the gray zone in between these two feeling anxious or frustrated. And then I notice that's happening, and I remind myself to fully accept the situation or take action.
