@uncleFredsTweet @WallStreetSilv Uhh, no... it's in ice cores, and they show that it has been much warmer than now in the last 2,000 years, during both the Roman Warm Period and Medieval Warm Period. Both long before industrialization.

Most of the planet was not recording temperature data until after World War 2. We literally didn't have any scientifically useful data for most of the planet. Even after WW2, it has been discovered that many official temperature recording locations have been poorly placed in urban heat islands, where development has grown over decades around the locations where the data is recorded. Concrete, buildings, etc.
