@asentance Hopefully instead of constant fare increases and bonuses to big bosses, the money will be reinvested to the consumer. I can deal with standing for half an hour if it means a peak time return isn’t £60!!!!

@asentance The trains are not running “quite satisfactory”, as somebody who commutes from Essex into London weekly, there are no seats, they are late, they are overcrowded and when I turn 30 next year, without a rail card, absolutely absurdly expensive!!!

In the 60s/70s, nationalisation did not solve long-term structural industry problems. We are going to learn this lesson again as the Labour gov’t renationalises train companies which are operating quite satisfactorily. There is no plan to improve efficiency or increase rail use.

@RymanRebecca @greateranglia It's mad. They have no cheaper tickets left on my trains 3 weeks from now. I usually book 7-10 days in advance and still manage to pay £55 max. Never had a problem in years. They've definitely changed something.

Hi @greateranglia, why is the 7:31 Colchester to Stratford on 11th September double the price to normal? Whenever I get this train it’s always £9-£11 with my railcard however this specific train is £22.75?
