Today i will discuss about @Zama Testnet v2. @zama isn’t a new L1 or L2 , it’s a confidentiality layer that adds FHE encryption on top of existing blockchains, the same way HTTPS added encryption to the web. Some Testnet V1 stats -Zama first testnet launched in July -already 100k+ addresses and over 1M encrypted transactions recoded Now they released Testnet v2, the final step before mainnet. Developers can already start building and deploying on it from today. This update also marks the first fully distributed key generation ceremony with Zama’s genesis operators - 55 hours process producing all keys for the protocol. It’s the first large-scale deployment of threshold FHE, representing years of research and months of coordination. A huge milestone for Zama, and for encrypted web 3. Once they finish stress testing this version, the mainnet will go live along with the $ZAMA token. It will be used for fees and staking through their burn and mint model.
