@Keir_Starmer I always said the market would correct. The only people with disposable income are now the people on benefits and so demand is lower than supply. If we can just increase unemployment by a further 2Mil we should have inflation at 2%. Lovin your economics man.

I spent too much of my time as Chancellor and PM firefighting (Covid, Ukraine, the mini-Budget).
This week’s Budget didn’t face those shocks, yet it still ducked the big choices. It felt like a survival Budget.
