What an OF configuration with Mangum in LF, Garcia in CF and Valdez in RF. We’ve certainly seen worse as Pirates fans but pretty crazy to see regardless

@bdetrick I don’t think they are going to try to win or rebuild the next few years. I think they are going to jettison Embid and PG for bad picks, pocket the money, and have VG and Maxey drag them to the play-in games.

Don’t really get the goal of attempting to move PG and Embiid’s contracts right now. If you’re trying to win, they were both good this year. If you’re trying to rebuild, they likely have negative trade value or (at best) won’t bring back meaningful draft assets

@SKRummel22 This is one where I don't think Pirates are making a mistake. His value is multiples higher if he develops into a quality starter. He was drafted to be a starter, but faster track to majors as a reliever.

@DTonPirates But if the goal is to win, they are taking one of the few good RP out of the bullpen when there are more capable starters in AAA. This all while Holderman and Bednar can’t even make it through a clean inning.
