مساء اليوم وأثناء تنفيذ مهمة إنسانية في موقع على طريق بلدة بيت ياحون, تعرضت فرق الصليب الأحمر اللبناني للإستهداف المباشر من مسيرة إسرائيلية، فأدى ذلك إلى استشهاد المسعف حسن بدوي واصابة مسعف آخر بجروح طفيفة وجرى نقلهما إلى مستشفى تبنين الحكومي.

"نواجه @ifrc واقعاً إنسانياً معقّداً في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، يتأثر بخمسة تحديات رئيسية: ارتفاع أسعار الطاقة عالمياً بفعل اتساع رقعة النزاع، وتعطّل سلاسل الإمداد، وتراجع و تشتّت المساعدات بين أزمات متعددة، إضافة إلى تراجع مساهمات دول الخليج نتيجة التأثيرات التي تطاولها، في مقابل ارتفاع هائل في الاحتياجات يقابله انكماش حاد في التمويل" تقول @MeyRaficSayegh في ندوة نظّمها مركز @OnlineCHS_en في قطر. وتشير إلى أنّه أمام هذا النزاع متعدد الأبعاد، "تتوزع استجابة شبكة الاتحاد الدولي لجمعيات الصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر على مسارين متكاملين: استجابة في الصفوف الأمامية لتلبية الاحتياجات الإنسانية العاجلة في لبنان وإيران وغزة والضفة الغربية، واستجابة قائمة على التأهب للطوارئ لضمان الجاهزية لمواجهة تطورات الوضع في دول الخليج والعراق والأردن".

بسبب النقص الحاد في الوقود، خرجت 35 سيارة إسعاف تابعة لـ @PalestineRCS عن الخدمة.   ولا يزال هناك فقط 21 سيارة إسعاف تعمل في كامل قطاع غزة.  كل قطرة وقود تُحدث فرقًا، فأرواح الناس تعتمد عليها. يجدد @ifrc دعوته للأطراف إلى السماح بوصول المساعدات الإنسانية بأمان ومن دون عوائق إلى جميع أنحاء قطاع غزة.

The #Preparedness_for_Effective_Response (PER) exercise officially kicked off today in Algeria, in collaboration with @red_algerian. Through in-depth discussions, shared experiences, and collective analysis, we aim to enhance response readiness and strengthen local capacities.

في 17 أبريل/نيسان، أُصيب أحد متطوعي @YemenCrescent في غارة جوية أثناء استجابته لاحتياجات إنسانية طارئة في الحديدة. نُذكّر جميع الأطراف بالتزامهم بحماية المدنيين والطواقم الطبية والعاملين في المجال الإنساني بموجب القانون الإنساني الدولي. ونؤكد التزامنا بإنقاذ الأرواح مهما كانت المخاطر.

It’s heartbreaking. Catastrophic. Devastating. Since October 2023, @PalestineRCS colleagues have lost their lives while wearing the emblem meant to protect them. We are horrified by this level of cruelty and inhumanity. @ifrc will always stand with the @PalestineRCS emergency medical teams in their life saving work. May they rest in peace. This must stop! And the perpetrators brought to justice.
