Finding a sustainable and efficient solution for garbage disposal in our city has always been a challenge I wanted to address. Over the past few years, I have been working toward a long-term resolution for the KCDC plant, which had unfortunately turned into a landfill, emitting foul odour and harmful gases in the heart of HSR Layout - Bengaluru’s IT hub. We have now identified a sustainable solution. A 300 TPD Waste-to-Bio-Gas plant will be established by @gailindia. After sustained and dedicated efforts for over a year, the formalities between GBA, BSWML, and GAIL were concluded today, and the land has been officially handed over to GAIL. The total cost of the project is estimated to over ₹123 crore, of which ₹24 crore will be provided as a subsidy under the Swachh Bharat Mission. The remaining amount will be funded by GAIL. Construction will begin immediately, and the plant is expected to be operational within 18 to 24 months. Its capacity will gradually be expanded to 500 TPD. The waste-to-CBG plant will be 100 percent odour-free and will help resolve the long-standing issues faced by residents in the surrounding areas. This initiative is part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, guided by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji, and will be fully funded by the Central Government. I thank Prime Minister Modi ji for his guidance and support in improving the living standards of Bengaluru’s citizens. This project would not have been possible without the continued support and intervention of Hon’ble Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri @HardeepSPuri ji. Special thanks to Hon’ble Union Minister Shri @mlkhattar ji for assuring the subsidy under Swachh Bharat. I also thank DCM Shri @DKShivakumar and @CSKarnataka Smt. Shalini Rajneesh for their interventions in approvals and land allotment. I thank Bommanahalli MLA Shri @msrbommanahalli for his sustained support. A shopkeeper Mukesh in Bengaluru was assaulted by 6 goons (Suleman, Shahnawaz, Rohit, Danish, Tarun and unknown) over the sound of loudspeaker ( As mentioned in the written complaint copy filed by Mukesh). DCP confirmed that Police arrested Suleman, Shah Nawaz and Rohit of the 6 accused. He also mentioned that Suleman has two more previous cases registered against him for assault. When asked if it was due to the playing of Hanuman Chalisa during Azaan, Police said, “Though it is not mentioned in the written complaint by the victim, we are investigating the claim”. However, while speaking to a News Channel later, Mukesh did mention that he was beaten up by Suleman, Shahnawaz, Rohit and others for playing Hanuman Chalisa during Azaan. Let's hope all the accused are arrested.

Chinese surgeons looked at a brain dead man on the ventilator. He was brain dead, which meant he was clinically alive. They asked the family of this man for something strange. The family agreed. They took out his liver. But without a liver, he would be clinically dead and not just brain dead. So they had to put in a new liver for him to survive. And they did. But here is where it gets stranger. They transplanted the whole liver of a pig into the brain dead man. Of course, this is cross-species organ transplantation and the rejection was going to be 100%. But they did something cool. They edited out the genes in the pig liver that made proteins that would lead to organ rejection. 96 hours later, the pig liver still survives, and the brain-dead man is still brain-dead and not clinically dead because the gene-edited pig liver is working inside him.
