PIB, in association with the Film and Television Institute of India, conducted a Film Appreciation Course in Goa on the sidelines of the 56th International Film Festival of India. The course was led by Prof. Dr. Indranil Bhattacharya (IB), Professor, Screen Studies & Research, FTII, and Prof. Vaibhav Abnave (VA), Associate Professor, Film Direction, FTII — both bringing years of academic and professional experience to the programme. Designed to deepen cinematic literacy and strengthen film appreciation, the course introduced media delegates to film-form, history and aesthetics through lectures, screenings, discussions and analytical sessions. Certificates were presented by Shri Prabhat Kumar, Additional Secretary, MIB; Shri Prakash Magdum, MD, NFDC; and Ms. Smita Vats-Sharma, DG, West Zone, PIB, marking the successful completion of the programme. #IFFIGoa #IFFI2025 #IFFI56
