Sitting in my room, losing my shit over the ghastly Delhi AQI and listening to crackers being burnt by some assholes! Before anyone comments - crackers ke peeche hi padh jao, fuck off!

@shashank_ssj If you heard his entire lecture he makes it v clear that he is NOT targeting a single religion. He has referred to the use of firecrackers across religions.

Justice Abhay Oka no longer enjoys judicial immunity after retirement and should be held accountable for his repeated and unwarranted targeting of Hindu religion and traditions.

@Luthra_Sidharth Exactly. What joy does one get with contributing massively to noise and air pollution. Idiots will keep saying that it is a part of their tradition and childhood nostalgia crap. They will never buy the fact that it came with Mughals as it will go against their hindutva narrative

I used to proudly say dilli dillwalon ki hai. Lekin aaj embarrassed and shocked at non stop crackers-and smoke that follows. Ye zulm hai, celebration nahin. Diwali is to pray, light our homes, and focus on the light within us. Par patake Baja Baja kar kya kar Rahe ho dilliwalon?

Such a wonderful interview by Adnan Khan, a dog behavior expert. Spoke from experience, science and most importantly - compassion. Worth listening to, if you havent. youtu.be/tQnJecfeb-c?si…

No doubt dog bites can be a menace, and I fully sympathize with the victims - but this direction reeks of abject apathy and mindless policy making. "Whether sterilised, not sterilised, society should be free from stray dogs" - makes the intention clear.

I MARRIED THE GUY WHO HATED ME IN SCHOOL I was the kind of girl who didn't want to be friends with boys. A nerdy shy guy tried to share his lunch with me and i accidentally broke his pokemon tiffin box lol.. I think I almost made him cry that day and he never spoke to me again.. Cut to 15 Years later, I stumbled upon the same nerdy guy on jeevansathi. His first text was literally ‘will you ever buy me a new tiffin box?’ 😭😭 Hamari school time mei dosti toh nahi hui par han hamari shaadi zarur hogyi. Happy Friendship day Pati dev ❤️

Every word. I repeat. Every. Word. Is absolutely on point. Dissent or disagreement does not evince hatred or oppression! Wonderful piece by @_YogendraYadav in Indian express today.

This highlights two issues. One, hatred so deep that you are willing to change your own beloved country's traditional names of sweets. Second, a hindi speaking state trying to make a point by disregarding what a word means in its vernacular state! Shame

JUST IN | The BJP leadership has taken into cognisance the remarks made by Madhya Pradesh Minister #VijayShah on #ColonelSofiaQureshi, party’s State unit president V.D. Sharma had said, adding that the Minister has been given a warning. Mr. Sharma said, “The BJP leadership is very sensitive and took a note of it. He was immediately warned about it. So, nobody has a right to do this. She is a daughter of the nation and the nation salutes her for her bravery," reports @MehulMalpani

gujaratis need to learn social etiquette and cues. we have the means and resources to learn it. get out of your comfort zone and stop shoving terrible manners under the garb of being rooted. we have the business acumen, the street-smarts, and the work ethic to represent India at a global stage. stop eating only gujarati food when you travel abroad. experience different cultures, cuisines, and traditions. open your mind up. dress well. speak well. interact with people from all countries. don’t fall for this “be proud of your roots” crap. you can be proud of your roots without having to be insecure enough to keep flaunting them everywhere.

I am from Kashmir & I currently living in Delhi. This morning, I went to buy groceries and the shopkeeper asked me,Why are you people attacking Indians?' Did he really think that we, the people of Kashmir, are not Indian? I walked not just with bags, but with pain in my heart.

@PoornimaNimo It's a basic constitutional principle - separation of powers. The document that gives the parliament to enact laws is the very same document that gives the power of judicial review to the supreme court. The constitution is beautiful to ensure a system of check and balance.

Dear Modi ji, @narendramodi Respecting the SC is very commendable. But kindly ask the SC also to respect the mandate of the people who elected their representatives and sent them to the Parliament, to make or amend laws. We didn't send Justice so and so to the Parliament to make laws. The Judiciary is for the implementation of the laws. And if it is for the amendment of laws why didn't the SC act when this very unconstitutional Waqf Board was claiming Allahabad High court as its property ?? Next time ask the Judges then, to fight elections if they want to interfere in Parliamentary decisions.
