Loving men is an ACTION to me. It is a thing I DO. ...I'm aware this is a medieval ass mindset. I do not care. I want to be defined by my actions, not by some ineffable quality that only I can feel. When I am gone, those qualities go with me. But my words & actions will remain.

But I'm QUEER bc I do queer things. I refuse to conform, I refuse to live the life that white cisheteropatriarchy tells me I should want. I'm politically queer and I'm an mspec gay bc I love men and other ppl who present masculinely regardless of gender (mostly).

All of this comes back to, at least in the US in my opinion, Evangelical christianity teaching us that being Saved has nothing to do with ACTIONS, just as long as you accepted Christ as your savior. You did that? Well now you're SAVED. It treats goodness as a thing you are.

@fatgoth420 Yes! I couldn't for the LIFE OF ME figure out why I felt I was WRONG 4 being attracted to men. I was a girl, I was SUPPOSED to be attracted to men, right?& the more I stepped away from "girl", the worse I felt but I couldn't figure it out til one day I went "omg, I'm a guy"

the funny thing about the radfem position of "interrogate your kinks" is that actually a lot of us do that and figure out how harms done to us, directly or indirectly, affected our sexuality. it's just, they want us to do that analysis without assigning ourselves human worth.

fiction is not obligated to teach a moral lesson. it's fiction. if the goal for YOUR experience with fiction is to either teach or be taught right from wrong, that's fine. that's YOU. but that shouldnt be expected nor REQUIRED of every piece of fiction.

The staff there went *all out* looking for doctors who could do the Whole 9 Yards for me. I did further explain that I'm *not* looking for bottom surgery, just removing the ovaries & top surgery. Which means I might be able to get in somewhere in PGH soon-ish.
