Scottsboro football will be in 4A Region 8, volleyball in 4A Area 16, Cross country in 4A Section 4, Section 3 in 1A-4A swimming and 1A-4A Region 8 for the school's new girls flag football program.

Per Scottsboro Schools Superintendent Jennifer Williams, the AHSAA Central Board of Control has voted to move Scottsboro to Class 4A for the 2026-28 Classification Period. Scottsboro appealed an ADM error after being 5A following the Jan. 23 release of the AHSAA classifications
