EXCLUSIVE: realme 16T box price is out. It has an MRP of ₹55,999 - lol, where are we heading?
Budget SoC, MediaTek Dimensity 6300, and an LCD. Last year, ₹10K smartphones had the Dimensity 6300 SoC and an LCD display.
The 16T doesn't support 4K video recording, and it also doesn't support 1080p video recording at 60fps.
Even the last year's 15T is available for ₹21K using UPI payments in the offline market with a slightly better SoC (Dimensity 6400 Max) and an AMOLED display, and the 14T is available for ₹16,499 at Croma.

@AhsanKharbai I bought g57 power for 13k two months ago, good enough phone for 2 3 years of use.
Currently there are no phones to recommend over g57 power under 15k
I read today that a Vivo phone released two weeks ago is getting a considerable price hike.
Yesterday, I came across news that the Realme 16 with the MTK D6400 will be priced above ₹32K.
Now, I’ve seen a Motorola ad on an e-commerce platform saying, “Buy now before prices rise.”
Last week, 4GB/64GB devices made a comeback and now what? Will 4G phones return to the sub ₹10K range?
The situation is getting grim.
The only thing I’ll say is… handle your current phones with utmost care & if you are planning to get a new phone do it ASAP.
@Gadgetsdata How come phones with d6300,d6400 with 4gb 6gb ufs2.2 phones getting ridiculous price increase and but most 40k above still feels reasonable
Shouldn't the higher speed rams or chips made recently cost more
But D6300 is like 3 years old
Earlier (till last year) :
The price of already launched smartphones used to decrease after a certain time
Now ( in 2026 ) :
The price of already launched smartphones are increasing in every 1-2 months
And this is going to continue for a long time (atleast 1-2 years)‼️

This is the Moto Razr Fold and it's probably my favorite fold out of MWC this year
Motorola's software really shines on the larger display (it is great) and the build of this thing feels premium and nice. It's genuinely a great device.
It'll launch in the US soon

@Sankew06 Sum phones thermal capacity limited to certain level
Personally I found motorola has higher limit of body temperature. I can use the phone normally upto 48°c without dip in brightness level.
