One day the tree that sheltered thousands,
Will fall in complete silence,unheard.
The river that once carried entire worlds,
Will become nothing but cracked emptiness.
& the man who dreamed of forever
Will vanish like he was never here at all.
I had a thousand chances to become whole,
But kept feeding the darkness in my soul.
Now every night feels like quiet decay,
Watching the man I could've been fade away.
Some losses don't scream or cry,
They just sit in your chest & slowly die.
Not every escape is running away,
some are returns to what we lost.
Between trees & tides,
I found a version of me untouched by noise.
Humans gave me reasons to withdraw,
Nature gave me reasons to stay.
