@DonaldBKipkorir @DonaldBKipkorir, expressways are public infrastructure meant to serve all road users, not just those with high-performance vehicles. Instead of excluding others, maybe we should focus on better signage and education. Speed alone shouldn't determine who belongs on the road.

Express Roads globally especially in Europe & US have minimum speed of 80KPH! And on them, those cars driving between 80KPH-100KPH use the slow moving lane whilst the BIG BOYS driving over 100KPH to 260KPH use the other lanes. In Kenya, vehicles whose speedometer can’t reach 60KPH are using the Express Way! To make it worse, they enjoy using the fast lane to torment us who have never driven below 100KPH! Today afternoon, as I was driving the EXPRESS WAY from Westlands to Southern ByPass, there was a L-vehicle on the fast lane & driving at 30KPH! My car nearly stalled as its engine couldn’t understand why I was driving below 30KPH! I stopped at the Toll Station near Eka Hotel & asked the Express Way staff why slow moving & L-vehicles are allowed! They didn’t have an answer! Express Way is Express away! And it is why we pay. It shouldn’t that even vehicles driving below 80KPH should be allowed! Why invest more Billions on Express Way to have same culture in public roads? Is it that we can’t one thing working right in Kenya? Even from China?

HAWKERS IMPUNITY IN EASTLEIGH!. This young man, who was beaten up as though he were a thief, had only requested the Jam Street hawkers who have turned the road into an open market to allow him to pass so that he could attend to an emergency at home. Instead of letting him through, they completely blocked his way. When he stepped out of his car to reason with them, they turned on him and beat him until he ended up in the ICU. This is the height of impunity hawkers who are clearly in the wrong still believe they have the right to attack innocent people who also have the right to use the road. For how long will people continue to suffer in the name of earning a living? As a government, we cannot remain silent and watch people behave as if there are no rules and regulations governing our county. The law is very clear regarding hawking, illegal dumping after business, and blocking drainage systems. Such lawlessness will not be tolerated.
