@SmittyD1981 @RateSports We've mastered 2k8, and it's innerworkings and the best teams shine because their playbooks fit their players. The player vs. player game is much different, and I don't have experience with it. But the D in the game isn't the issue when rosters are balanced and you got legend on

@SmittyD1981 @RateSports You also talked about how the Deacon slap and evade QB is only available on their respective players. This means you know a lot about the game, but you've never messed with the editor. Watch some of our league's games, and I think you might be pleasantly surprised.

@SmittyD1981 @RateSports I did my homework and watched your last livestream about the game. You lowered the sliders all the way down and complained about the DBs not dropping back and covering. Your perspective is coming from someone who plays player v player. In AI vs AI on legend setting 2k8 is unbeat.

@SmittyD1981 @RateSports Your confirmation bias means nothing when it's clear you've never sunk real time into the game. Probably playing on All-pro settings and expecting Defenses to play properly every play. Maybe try Legend settings and come back to this thread.

@SiegeFalco @RateSports Dude, I’ve already streamed this game a multitude of times & the game literally snitched itself out. I’m not concerned about your opinion when the game already told on itself regarding its deficiencies. You can love the game all you want, it’s busted in key areas.

@SmittyD1981 @RateSports I've played, simmed, and watched this game for the past 5 years. I don't love it, but it's better than any Madden game or modern indy alternative. The real issues with the game are AI clock management, offside/timeout cheese, backups being put in too early. But it isn't the D.

@SmittyD1981 @RateSports Still, it sounds like a skill issue if you're putting players in zone who don't have the stats or animations to deal with that responsibility. That's your fault, not the game's

@SiegeFalco @RateSports Defense is DEFINITELY not king in APF. That's one of the key downfalls of that game. Defenders especially in the secondary notoriously cover grass just like how Madden has that same issue. I've showcased the games good/bad numerous times over the years.

@SmittyD1981 @RateSports Defense is king in APF 2K8. The issue is the number of picks and QBs refusing the scramble. Which is wide spread in any 2k8 league. It just sounds like you've never simmed 2k8 a day in your life.

@RateSports Man, unless you have a legit way to somehow modify defensive coverage logic like how they did with the NCAA 14 Revamped efforts, it'll essentially be the same game with little to change other than rosters and jerseys. You already know I have MASSIVE respect for you fam!
