🇯🇵 Recently, the suspicious fires at shrines, temples, and pig farms across Japan have left us shocked.
Everywhere I go on Japanese X, other social media, and even in real life people are talking about it. Most find these incidents highly suspicious. Investigations are ongoing and there are growing calls to install security cameras.
But many of us Japanese are scared to speak openly because of Japan's strict defamation laws. Online people often get angry and tell me "just say it". I wish we had the same freedom of speech others enjoy.
Still, one good thing has come from this: it's brought Japanese people closer together and shown the world how much love there is for our culture.
Thank you all for your support during this difficult time. We’ll get through this.
