This is appalling, and I wish his identifying information hadn’t been covered up. Sexualizing procedures like this is deeply predatory, and that this nurse feels comfortable doing so says a lot about the hospital he works at none of it good. This kind of thing is why some women are hesitant to seek medical care for urinary and gynecological issues.

Why are Nigerians not going to Ireland instead of UK?? The immigration laws are even better. Any reason please?

@Mazichimdi234 @ifeaboyeji @EffiomAsuquo3 These and many more. I wonder if these other countries with their amount of money have such benefits. The money a country makes should be equal to the size of the country and it's population.

@ifeaboyeji @EffiomAsuquo3 Going to Ireland compared to the UK is like emigrating to Ghana instead of Nigeria. UK is English-speaking & just like Nigeria. We also have ties. The two comparable countries in terms of GDP and opportunities to UK are Germany (biggest European economy), and France 3rd largest.

@Mazichimdi234 @ifeaboyeji @EffiomAsuquo3 Compare that to the population of the country. Ireland is not as big as UK or USA or even Nigeria and they are doing so well. They pay child benefits, unemployment benefits, free maternal health care and delivery. Children from birth to 9 years get free health care.

@NellysonKing @EmmaOkoreMD I'd say that once the patient has the right information about progression of disease and available options, then they pick and choose what they want. Some still decide on full care. So they do have the final say, not the medical professionals.

@Sliimshade @EmmaOkoreMD I don’t think the patient defines it because we would be blurring the limits of DNR with assisted suicide and euthanasia. Let look at what the books say.

Do Not Resuscitate is not something we see everyday in Nigerian hospitals. The first time I witnessed it, it changed my perspective about life. A 68 year old woman had been battling with cancer for some years. She has had repeated course of chemotherapy, but there was no remission. And the pain was becoming unbearable as her family had exhausted available options of pain relief. So she made a decision that any day she becomes unconscious, no effort should be made to revive her. I was on duty when she was admitted. The instruction was simple. Give her whatever you can, to make her comfortable, and don't attempt to revive her no matter what. Her children were all seated with her, relishing the time of their lives. It was indeed a solemn gathering. The first 24 hours was the hardest. As I expected her to maybe faint, but that didn't happen. The second night was uneventful. Then on the third night, when it was as if she was getting stronger, she slumped on the bed. The bedside monitor alarm alerted the nurses who called me from the call room. I ran upstairs as fast as my legs could carry me. Just as I rushed into the room, I had a brain reset - DO NOT RESUSCITATE. I stood at the door, frozen. I couldn't do anything. She needed oxygen, but I wasn't allowed to give her, she needed CPR, but it was forbidden. All my life, the training was to save life. Nothing prepared me to just watch a life ebb away. But, something bigger hung on the line - my licence. If any of us had attempted to resuscitate her, that would have marked the end of our medical career. Within a few minutes, she stopped gasping. Then a thunderous cry erupted from her children. I'm sure a little teardrops escaped from my eyes. Such is the vanity of life. Sometimes, you just have to let go, if holding on would cause more pain and hurt and inconvenience. I don't think I'll ever allow my loved ones to die without making an attempt to save them. What about you? What would you do if your loved one with chronic illness requested for DO NOT RESUSCITATE? ...

@NellysonKing @EmmaOkoreMD The patient decides on what they want if they have capacity. A power of attorney is given to a relative to make this decision when they can't. The multi disciplinary team decides when these two fail. But all the information is given to the patient and family first.

@NellysonKing @EmmaOkoreMD There's various sections to tick, some patients would want only ward level care including O2, IV fluids and others would want HDU including Bipap and CPAP. They can all eat as tolerated and have prn medications for comfort.

I’m down with the flu again, so the kitchen’s closed in my house this Sunday. I treated myself to a Sunday roast at my local restaurant in Wickersley, Rotherham instead — it was beautiful and cost just £12.

I have a friend who lives in Minneapolis. He told me the vast majority of protestors are white liberals. Not Muslims. Not Hindus. Not Hispanics. Not blacks. White liberals. They are fighting for foreign illegals who hate them. It truly is suicidal empathy.

There is one fact that you can't deny about yesterday's shooting in Minneapolis. If Alex Pretti didn't try to stop federal agents from arresting an illegal immigrant he would still be alive today. That's all that matters. End of story.

🚨 BREAKING: ABC is facing mass calls to be SUED after being caught blatantly lying that a 5-year-old boy was detained by ICE - when in reality, he was RESCUED after being abandoned, taken to McDonald's and a warm facility in Texas. SUE ABC! ENOUGH!
