@luciscaelumXV @Destiny2Team I dont think you can save them but the thrall that spawn during boss sometimes drop the pumpkin you can shoot and that drops a couple of them.

We are actively looking into an issue where the Headless One boss cannot take damage in Haunted Altars. Want to fill your candy buckets in the interim? Use this workaround: in the first phase of the boss fight, wait the 10 seconds until the Shriekers close, and then complete the damage phase to avoid the soft lock. Thanks for your patience while we work to resolve this.

@MacticsG1 Seems like throwing the pumpkin charges breaks his shields too. Helps get you out of soft lock as well.

so pretty sure the bug is that you cant melt the boss before the shriekers close or else you wont have the option to open them again so need to break shield > WAIT FOR THEM TO CLOSE > then burst > then break shield again ........................................lol
