Also underrated aspect of Airbending: we only see it in the show. In universe it’s explicitly welll….air. So if an airbender attacks you, you can’t see the attack coming. That’s kinda horrifying

@Sochimbuchi @EamoArt He’s not arguing genetics at all? he literally bases his opinion on human history and social behavior. That’s a cultural critique, not biological determinism. You can disagree with him (he’s clearly overgeneralizing), but calling him racist misses what he is actually saying

With how much they've humanised Oliver in the show, it's gonna be interesting to see how the writers rationalise his actions in the next season, because comic Oliver is lowkey a sociopath.

@Sochimbuchi @EamoArt Not really, he comes to that conclusion on humans based on your example but also from him reading about their history. Sure it’s nonsensical but his values come from the collective not the individual and a large part of human history is their cruelty tbh

@EamoArt Ngl Oliver was so dumb here. For the few months he was alive of Thraxa he was the son of the demigod emperor, people are definitely gonna coalesce around him. Then he comes to Earth, is forced to fight the meanest villains with **1** society, and comes to a conclusion on Humans
