Rumors are spreading that TSMC may cut employee bonuses! Employees are furious, with some even threatening to “go on strike like Samsung.” TSMC, Taiwan’s “sacred mountain protecting the nation,” has long drawn public attention for its employee salaries, profit-sharing bonuses, and compensation packages. So far in 2026, TSMC’s stock performance has remained strong. However, in recent days, many employees in TSMC-related Facebook groups have claimed that the company may cut employee bonuses. The comment sections have been flooded with criticism, with some employees saying: “They change whatever they want, whenever they want — just like their internal management style. There is no credibility at all.” Another wrote: “Employees work under constant pressure every day, sacrificing their lives for the company, and now the company wants to cut employee bonuses to reward shareholders?”
