@Rothmus These tickets are probably $40 face value but secondary market may be like $150-200. Not an affluent crowd. I’ve been to many shows at Red Rocks like this and there are some rich kids, but the vast majority are hourly employed at best.

I’d bet most of them come from seriously wealthy families. But they’re downwardly mobile, and that resentment drives their politics: they want you to subsidize the lifestyle they’ve chosen. I guess LARPing is easier than calling Mom and Dad and apologizing.

Glad to share a freshly submitted paper (now under peer review) from the VASCO team, led by Prof. Steve Bruehl. We use machine learning to separate likely real transients from plate defects in a sample of 107,875 events. If correlations were spurious, they should weaken as artifacts are removed. Well...they don’t. Instead, the correlations strengthen as the sample gets cleaner. We see: (1) Stronger Earth shadow deficit (2) Stronger nuclear-test correlation (3) Highest in the highest-probability (cleanest) subset These results supports a real, previously unrecognized population of transient phenomena in historical plates. Nothing screams louder "I'm a civil litigator and I have no fooking idea what I'm doing" than writing that a trial conviction on appeal is a "final judgment." Criminal convictions are not "Final" until all appeals have been exhausted.

But that exact same judge let off a child rapist called Reese Newman because she said the prisons were overcrowded This is British Justice.
