🚨🎙️ Roy Keane on West Ham’s disallowed goal for a foul on Arsenal’s Goalkeeper David Raya
"I tell ya what, that VAR decision is a complete and utter disgrace – an absolute joke!
All season long Arsenal have been crowding the goalkeeper on set-pieces, pushing, shoving, blocking – it’s been their main tactic from day one. We saw it clear as day against us at Old Trafford when Saliba backed straight into Bayindir, stopped him from making a proper save, and they nicked a goal through Calafiori. Nothing given. Not a murmur. But now, in a massive title-deciding match against West Ham, when it doesn’t suit them... suddenly it’s a foul on Raya? Are you kidding me?
What the hell are we even watching in this league anymore? It’s shameless, it’s embarrassing. At this rate just hand the title and the trophy over to Arsenal now, because it’s glaringly obvious what they’re trying to pull. Total, utter disgrace."

🚨🎙️| Oliver Kahn on PSG’s European success carries a huge asterisk, built in Ligue 1, where domestic games feel optional while other elite clubs grind nonstop:
🗣️ “Look, I’m going to say something people don’t like but it has to be said.
When I watch how Paris Saint-Germain are treated in way to dominate Ligue 1, I don’t get impressed… I get questions.
Because in every top league I played in or studied closely, your best players don’t rest their way into big games, they fight their way there. In England, in Spain, in Italy… you earn your place every three days. You suffer, you adapt, you prove consistency.
But PSG? You look at the minutes these PSG players are playing in Ligue 1 and it’s embarrassing. Seven of the guys who started against Bayern have barely played half the games in the league? Half! While everywhere else, Premier League, Bundesliga, even La Liga, the big clubs are running their players into the ground every three days like slaves. Real football. These PSG boys are getting rested like they’re on vacation until the European nights come.
And don’t get me started on the postponements! Lens, Nantes… whenever it gets crunchy in the league, suddenly the fixture moves. Ligue 1 bending over backwards so PSG can stay fresh. Other leagues would laugh at that. We talk about ‘competitive integrity’? This is a joke. A farmer’s league where one team dictates the calendar.
Dembélé scoring braces in Europe after starting 9 league games? Come on. In a real league that wouldn’t fly the same way. This success is manufactured, heavy rotation at home, fresh legs for the big stage. Respect to the players when they deliver, but let’s not act like this is the same grind as Arsenal, City, Barcelona or Madrid.
Ligue 1 needs to look at itself. If you want to be taken seriously in Europe, stop protecting one club and make them actually compete week in, week out like everyone else. Otherwise, it’s just an exhibition league with one superstar team playing when they feel like it.
That’s the truth, because the numbers don’t lie.”

🚨 Diego Simeone on Lamine Yamal after Atlético Madrid eliminated Barcelona on aggregate despite Yamal’s early goal:
“He is a good kid with a lot of talent. He asked for a one-on-one yesterday, he scored in the third minute, and the media wants to crown him the king of Europe. But in football, the only thing that matters is who is in the draw tomorrow morning. The press wants me to be terrified of a teenager because he does stepovers and gives confident interviews. Please. For a decade, I had to stand on the touchline and watch Cristiano Ronaldo score hat-tricks to actually knock my team out of this competition. That is real terror. Lamine played a beautiful game tonight, but the reality is we are going to the semi-finals, and he is going home to watch us on television. There is a big difference between playing a pretty game and being a nightmare.”

🚨🎙️ Jose Mourinho on Liam Rosenior Suspending Enzo Fernandes :
“You say Madrid is beautiful. Of course it is beautiful. Paris is beautiful. London is beautiful. But beauty does not win you titles. Mentality wins you titles.”
“When I was at Chelsea, my players did not speak about other clubs. Why? Because they were too busy winning.”
“You want Real Madrid? Real Madrid is not a holiday destination. It is pressure. It is history. It is responsibility.”
“At Madrid, if you play one bad match, the fans whistle. Two bad matches, the media kills you. Three bad matches… you are finished.”
“And now you are talking about them while your team is suffering? This is not leadership. This is distraction.”
“You don’t flirt with another club when your house is on fire. First, you put out the fire.”
“Also… let me teach you something. Real Madrid does not buy players because they say nice things in interviews. They buy players who dominate big games.”
“So… less talking about Madrid. More playing like a Madrid player.”
“Because right now? You are not there.”

Every time I’ve watched England Under-21s train at home or abroad over the past five years, Ashley Cole was out there early, laying out the balls and cones (pic below), discussing the session with the head coach Lee Carsley. He gave individual instruction to defenders like Levi Colwill and Tino Livramento. They spoke highly of Cole’s counsel and desire to improve them as players. His work ethic and humility inspired them.
In matches, Cole would sort the subs with the fourth official. No airs or graces, even though Cole was a genuine superstar as a player. He was the most consistent of the Golden Generation, England’s greatest ever left-back, seventh on his country’s all-time appearance list with 107 caps, winner of seven trophies with Arsenal, nine with Chelsea. He stood up to Cristiano Ronaldo and Arjen Robben. He nailed his two shootout penalties in the 2008 and 2012 UCL finals. He was an elite competitor and winner.
After retiring at 38, Cole could have played golf or gone into punditry. Instead, he’s built a coaching career. Along with some other reporters, I helped Cole do the media module of his Pro Licence at St George’s Park. Cole's attention to detail and desire to deliver in his second career was very clear to us.
Cole worked his way up, assisting Frank Lampard at Derby, coaching in Chelsea’s academy when Lampard went to the Bridge, and then assisting Lampard at Everton. He assisted Wayne Rooney at Birmingham City. He also assisted Carsley in his six games as caretaker of England’s seniors before becoming a full-time FA coach.
Cole, 45, now takes on his first managerial role – at Cesena in Serie B. It’s only until the end of June but an experience, an education and with the possibility of a longer stay. Good luck to Cole. He’s earned the opportunity. He’s grafted for it.
