I was in Walmart this morning and overheard a woman tell her husband that she needed a winter coat.
For context it’s snowing here and cold. He told her maybe next paycheck.
I stood there for a solid minute thinking about the fact that I had a really nice coat in my backseat that I keep meaning to donate.
I didn’t want to make her uncomfortable but when he wandered away I walked up and quietly said

Btw, by coincidence, I was just researching the history of equality of women in Australia after being inspired by 'I Am Woman' by Helen Reddy.
I discovered that the Australian government produces an annual report card w.r.t. the status of women. This year we rose to number 13 in the world – down from a low of 50 in 2021 (no wonder there were marches on Parliament House that year).

My EV insurance is less than my previous V6 SUV, I have no maintenance costs for 5 years, and if you can find a cheap 2nd hand EV on the market, I reckon go for it.

Nice to have mum come along to Adelaide last week for my keynote address at the KWY conference - good to get a professional shot of us too.
My mum wasn’t even a citizen of her own country when she was born. In 1962 she had to go to court to obtain citizenship-and had to renounce her culture for it.
She still managed to close the gap for all five of her children in one generation.
