Hey @airtable - for billable days in a month, why do I have to do 1st Feb to 1st Mar? I'd do 28th Feb as an end date.

@stolinski Turning off Turbo Boost massively improves my machines heat and performance. Turbo Boost appears to just decide to run max power for 10 seconds, then thermal throttle because its too hot. False dichotomy in my opinion.

Seriously considering always using an icepack under my laptop.

The fact that @digitalocean you can't assign a floating IP to a load balancer is sort a hilarious oversight. They posted they were working on it two years ago and yet nothing.

Disabling TurboBoost is like the best thing I've ever done on my Mac.

@Stan_Lindsey oh man, that is relatable. How many wasted brain cycles for zero gain on that kind of deliberation? Also frequently sends me down a rabbit hole of thinking "I really ought to consolidate my accounts..."

Single Sign On is great in theory, but in practice I feel like I'm signing on more than ever. With a decent password manager, I don't really feel the benefit between platforms. Platform accounts make sense but using a disperate login for an unrelated service feels clunky 🤔

@Stan_Lindsey But I am not happy about sending the kids back in early January after the Christmas mixing. We will probably be fined if we do keep them off for the first week or two. Lots of logistics planning and negotiation ahead.

So what’s the bet that areas which stay in Tier 4 into term time will still force children into school?
