Putting significant capital at risk over the last decade or so and holding through the chaos was very difficult. It’s much easier to preach “HODL” today than in 2015. As we grind through this phase and wait to see when new large flows arrive, it’s a good idea to get comfortable with any price expectation you had not really playing out in the short term. You’re not owed anything from the market. At this point you either value Bitcoin for its unique properties and want to hold a position, or you have every right to put your money at risk into stocks or other assets. The financialization phase was never going to be easy. The most effective way to pluck these old coins was time capitulation. It’s worked very well.
