Well… this one hurts a bit. Back on January 9th I wrote this about KING RASKO GREY when he was 33/1 for the Turners. Everything in the analysis pointed to this race being his ideal Cheltenham target — trip, prep race, Mullins’ comments, the lot. By the time I came to do the final race analysis he had shortened to around 7/1, so I talked myself out of tipping him because I didn’t feel the value was there anymore. Of course… he drifted back out and went off at 11/1. That’s betting in a nutshell. Sometimes the analysis is right but the final call isn’t. Still proud of the early read though — because identifying the right type of horse months in advance is exactly the process we try to follow. Here’s the piece from January 👇
