Can Breast RT Reduce Inflammation-Driven Cardiac Risk? @OncoAlert New insights from the BACCARAT study challenge assumptions!🔥 • 🎯 Objective: Assess coronary inflammation and 🫀 mortality risk 2 yrs after breast ☢️ • 🏥 Methods: 105 👥 (no chemo) → CCTA pre-☢️& 2 yrs post-☢️ → Coronary Fat Attenuation Index (FAI) & AI-Risk model → ☢️dose not linked to inflammation changes • 📊 Key Results: → FAI decreased in RCA, LAD & LCX → 8-yr 🫀 death risk ↓ from 10.4% to 8.9% → 46% of high-risk 👥reclassified to lower-risk → Inflammation ↓ possibly due to tumor control RT may stabilize plaques by reducing tumor-driven systemic inflammation🤔
