What @juliettekayyem said! You’re an important voice @McFaul. You made an honest mistake and admitted it. Time to move on from the online outrage mob.
Juliette Kayyem@juliettekayyem

@McFaul Been there. Your apology and explanation speak for themselves. You are just this Saturday’s sport for people who in fact know you are on the right side against today’s horror. It will pass. Keep out there.

As someone who worked hard in my local AI chapter in the 80s, & has worked for many of the objectives of @amnesty for 25 years on the Foreign Affairs Committee, it saddens me to see the reputation of this once noble organization degraded by its USA director. Fire him. (3/3)

The most lucid explanation of Putin and his sh*tshow of a war you’ll find, from Stalin biographer Stephen Kotkin, in conversation with David Remnick: newyorker.com/news/q-and-a/s…

Thread (and admission): 1) I want to be honest, in congress I have only a few votes that in hindset, I regret. My biggest regret was voting against the first impeachment of Donald Trump.

@UMFanAugdahl I’m concerned about not having H2, period. It wasn’t the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog. Dude’s a baller.

@PJCrowley @NATO Could the Poles even operate F-16s? Any backfill needs to be with equipment that’s compatible with Polish systems and training.

A question to pose to elected officials who favor transferring the Polish fighters to #Ukraine. Will you support the immediate transfer of F-16s from an Air National Guard fighter unit in your state to backfill #Poland to ensure @NATO territory is fully defensible.

Insulin was discovered in 1921. It isn't a new drug, but it is a lifesaving one, and there is no reason for its cost to be skyrocketing. In some cases, prices have risen 1000% over a decade. Ridiculous. It’s time to cap the out-of-pocket cost.

A gallon of baby formula cost $154 but cost $0.31 to make. A gallon of IV fluid cost $178 but cost $0.28 cents to make. A gallon of insulin cost $123,000 but cost $0.68 cents to make. I’m concerned with making these as affordable as #gas at $4.32 a gallon. #perspective

WPost's David Ignatius: “Bennett’s ability to communicate between the sides brought about a shift in the positions of both sides since the beginning of his mediation — from existential to territorial.” Putin...is no longer demanding Ukraine’s dissolution. washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/…

Two years ago, Putin rightly saw the UN’s election of Russia to the Human Rights Council as international approval of his regime. Now it’s time to undo this travesty. We are calling on UNHRC members Britain, France, Germany and the Netherlands to expel Russia from the Council.
MFA Russia 🇷🇺@mfa_russia

#Zakharova💬We see this support for #Russia’s election to the @UN_HRC as proof of international approval of 🇷🇺Russia’s policy for developing a depoliticised dialogue on the entire range of human rights topics

@madrid_mike No one’s placating Putin. But drawing red lines has been a colossal miscalculation in the past. Let’s not rule out anything at any time; let Putin worry where our red lines might be.
