@IsabellaMaez Unfortunately we don’t have the capacity or people for something like that. In the meantime we’ve been helping folks evacuate sweeps and finding them a new spot to stay! Also providing them with anything they may have lost in relocation.

We are more threatened by the businesses that exploit us, the police that repress and kill us, and the fascists who aim to eradicate us, than we will ever be by another struggling person, especially one living without access to basic human necessities.

Jeff has since passed away but that is without a doubt the kindest most meaningful thing anyone’s ever done for me. He didn’t know us on a super personal level before that, but he cared about us all enough to give us all that last good night together.

And at the end of all that he was most worried about making sure we all got our last meal for a bit together. He went out and got enough burgers, buns, and potato salad for all of us. We all spent the evening grillin, chatting, and watching comedy skits and laughing together.

After day 3 of a sweep we were supposed to do our food distro. All of us had been helping people move all day, and didn’t have anytime to cook. A guy living in the meadows went to the store and bought enough food so we could all have dinner together in our spot one last time.⬇️
