A high-level Road Safety Committee Meeting was convened under the chairmanship of the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, along with the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Joint Commissioner RTO, GBA South Commissioner, senior officials from Bengaluru Traffic Police, RTO, BMRCL, BMTC, and other key stakeholders. BMTC horron Woman Injured After BMTC Bus Rams Two-Wheeler Near Yeshwanthpur A woman who was seriously injured on her two-wheeler from behind when a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus was driven into her was taken to the Metro bus at Yeshwanthpur Circle in Bangalore, not only this Friday but also for the time ahead, as residents feel concern about road safety in Bengaluru and the driving of large public transport buses.The woman was on board a two-wheeler in the crowded segment of Yeshwanthpur Circle when a BMTC bus, which approached from behind, hit her bike. She was thrown off her two-wheeler in the crash, sustaining serious injury. A woman who was the victim of this accident was followed by local people and witnesses. They reportedly arranged for immediate assistance and relocated her to a nearby private hospital for emergency care. The woman's status is not clear, but from her injury from the collision, she must have been seriously hurt. Yeshwanthpur Traffic Police Station Officers conducted an initial review and investigation after the incident.Police conducted an initial investigation of the accident site and the traffic conditions, as well as the vehicle involved. The police are now investigating fully into the cause of the accident that led to it, examining if any reason, if the BMTC bus driver was negligent or reckless. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued the Drugs (Second Amendment) Rules, 2026 under the Drugs Rules, 1945. The amendment will come into effect after its publication in the Official Gazette. Under the revised rules, “Pregabalin” has been added as Serial No. 51 in Schedule H1 of the Drugs Rules, 1945, following public consultation and review of objections and suggestions received. @MoHFW_INDIA
