Clarification regarding Social Media Reports pertaining to suspicious deaths caused allegedly by consumption of juice* District Health Office, Directorate of Health Services and District Administration jointly examined the cases reported on social media. Where 3 cases were reported. Concerned hospitals were checked, patient history was examined and no evidence of death caused by consumption of juices unfit for drinking was found. To further trace the cause of incident, families of the deceased were contacted to ascertain exact details of shops from where the alleged juice was purchased. However, they failed to pinpoint the exact shops. As a safe measure, teams of Islamabad Food Authority surveyed markets near the residence of the deceased, but no evidence of hazardous juices was found.
