This salamander guy is named Sammy. He’s been living here for 2 years. I haven’t seen any others just him. I have never seen salamanders this far north in Michigan. But he found a home in my greenhouse the first winter. He’s much bigger now.

Sooo apparently you're supposed to lash the valves on these Kohler engines every so often 🙃. Parts ordered. Hopefully I can put this thing back together before my grass overtakes the house.

@TheOtherMassie To be fair it's the baculum, or penis bone, of the racoon that is sought after. It makes a great drink stirrer or toothpick. People also use them at the spout of a moonshine still.

Put over 10 hours in the woods this weekend hunting turkeys to no avail. Come home for lunch on Monday and he's strutting in the front field. Ran down the treeline and made one cluck on the box call. He came right to me. Whole thing took 2 minutes. 😂😂😂
