I used to really respect Rupert Lowe and I don’t necessarily dislike him from an ideological view point but I really think he is dangerous on the right. After decades of the two parties destroying our country with no viable alternative, we finally have one. And that’s Reform. Now that we have an alternative we need to be really careful in our efforts to maintain Reform’s momentum. Restore say they can win the next general election. And credit to them they did well in Great Yarmouth. But realistically thinking they don’t have the talent necessary to lead the country and they certainly don’t have the support. Lowe is playing a very risky game and one has to question his motives; when he actually speaks in interviews you could confuse him with a Reform speaker. They portray themselves as the hard right alternative to reform but really the only beneficiary of this sort of attack is the Tory party as the new right vote splits. And that is very dangerous in today’s political environment.
