@SRyona3 @LGahib8462 How are Quinta and Issa more independent? Issa had two shows on HBO and Quinta has a prime time show on ABC that is about to be syndicated if it isn’t already.

@LGahib8462 A couple of black women have: Quinta Brunson and Issa Rae. They also do it with taste. Difference is though, they're more independent. Hollywood, ofc, is a different story

See how they shit on Black Men? Despite directors like Coogler, Peele, Townsend, Fuqua and others being the ONLY directors to give monoracial BW leading roles. Denzel and Sterling K refusing to have non black love interests, etc. Can't name BW who've done the same

MBJ having the opportunity to have his own production company and executive produce projects but not giving opportunities to black actresses… all right then

Frantz Fanon warned that African liberation is not just about ending foreign rule. He warned that local elites can continue the same exploitation from inside the state, so real freedom requires changing both external and internal power structures.

Rap Brown on socialism “I don't see any working example of socialism, communism or any ideology that's desirable for black people in this country because of racism. Socialism, especially when it's white controlled, can foster just as much racism as anything else. Socialism and Marxism deal with exploitation but not with racism. Any ideology to deal with racism still has to be created. and it has to be created by the masses of people.”

@AnthonyGSupreme @LexDiamonds__ I feel it’s cause the bar for entry into the genre just kept getting lowered throughout the years. All previous genres of Black music had pretty high standards for even being accepted in the scene, let alone being a star or person of note to a big audience
