Attended a cardiac arrest in a public place on shift today. Before we arrived, first aiders on scene had delivered CPR & shocks from their AED Patient was awake and talking by the time they arrived at hospital. Knowing First aid and access to AEDs is so important to saving lives

The boards are up! We now have information boards that explains the contraptions an ITU patient may have. It may give visitors an insight of what to expect when a patient is in our unit.

1/25 Update thread on where NHS hospitals are at the moment, concentrating on 3 things: a) hotspot hospital admission rates. b) overall pressure. c) what this may mean for easing lockdown measures (spoiler alert - we will need a full, evidence based, debate given trade offs!)

***YAA #WeeklyStats*** Last week: 🚨 We responded to 35 incidents across Yorkshire 💊 We treated 23 patients 🧍The most common incident type was Fall/Fall from Height 🗺️ The most attended area was Doncaster 📅 Our busiest day was Friday

This week we have been launching our new cleaning standards @WalsallHcareNHS promoting the importance of cleaning for each pt discharge required to keep patients safe from #infection Well done @IPCWalsall and dept teams, amazing feedback already 🤩
