LIFELONG LEARNING IN MARRIAGE At nearly 60 and married for almost 29 years, I still find myself learning like a beginner when I listen to seasoned marriage counselors. Life never stops teaching. May we always have the humility to keep learning and growing. Ngaho nawe tera agatebe maze wige nka njye 🙏🏾

🌟 A WONDERFUL YOUNG WOMAN & A LIFE LESSON ON LOVE AND HAPPINESS 💛 A beautiful 26-year-old young woman came to ask me for a residence certificate confirming she lives in Rugunga and is a responsible citizen — required for a job opportunity. I already knew her and her family, but she wasn’t connected to her local community structures (Umudugudu and Isibo/WhatsApp groups). I guided her to meet her local leaders and get involved. I gave her the certificate, and we had a meaningful talk. She rarely participates in community activities like: Umuganda 🧹, National events 🇷🇼, Elections 🗳️, remembrance and liberation commemorations. We agreed she will start being an active citizen. She has the potential to be a strong youth leader — the energy of Rwanda today and tomorrow 💪🏾✨ ⸻ 💬 OUR CONVERSATION TURNED TO RELATIONSHIPS She told me she is single. She had a past relationship, but it ended because they were not compatible. We reflected on why many marriages today break up quickly 💔 I shared this view: 👉🏾 Many people expect their partner to give them happiness the way they imagine. But true happiness is something you give yourself first 🌱😊 Other things — job, wealth, friends, health — can come or go. They are not fully in your control. But inner peace, joy, love, and contentment come from within you 🕊️💖 ⸻ ❤️ KEYS TO A STRONG, LASTING RELATIONSHIP Every person wants a partner who: ✔️ Respects them ✔️ Accepts them as they are ✔️ Is patient ✔️ Gives them attention Trying to force someone to change often causes pain. Real change comes from within, from life, and from God 🙏🏾 If you already carry peace and happiness inside yourself, you don’t pressure your partner to “complete” you. That prevents conflict and resentment 🌸 When you love and value yourself, others naturally value you too ✨ ⸻ 🔑 THE SECRET OF LASTING LOVE Long marriages don’t last because people are perfect. They last because couples practice: 1️⃣ Patience with each other 2️⃣ Creating their own happiness 3️⃣ Not trying to remake their partner 4️⃣ Remembering both are imperfect 5️⃣ Choosing humility over ego — turning “losing” into winning 🤝💞 Your spouse is someone else’s child and God’s creation. Respect their background, their nature, and their journey 🌍 That is how love lasts a lifetime 💍❤️ ⸻ May God help us live this wisdom 🙏🏾✨
