Having principles is better than winning, actually. I'd rather die with my principles and be able to look God in the eye when I meet him than spend my whole life on Earth "winning" at the cost of my soul.

I did too lol. Fun fact about my hometown, Versailles, Indiana. One of the founders of Walgreens, James "Uncle Jim" Tyson was from here. He left a huge ass grant to the town when he died which is still used to fund the town to this day. Almost everything in the town is named after him. The old Tyson School, which is now the Tyson Apartments, Tyson Auditorium, and Tyson Activity Center, the Tyson Library, Tyson United Methoist Church, Tyson Street, the Tyson Sports Complex, Tyson Waterworks. Hell, I'm surprised the town ain't called Tyson lmao! What's real funny is that we've NEVER had a Walgreens. We got two pharmacies. CVS and George's. But no Walgreens. Imagine that!

@PeonyPrincess27 Honestly, there ain't much of a difference no more. Most "Republicans" are just Trump sycophants at this point. Very sad. As long as I'm around, I'm gonna try to save our once great party from itself. I don't have much faith I'll be successful though.

@TheGOPRedneck Very true. I’m bad about discerning the difference. I was republican until MAGA. I just can’t wait till MAGA is done. Because it was never really about helping Americans.

This happens a lot with local situations too. In 2023, State Representative for District 67 Randy Frye and State Senator for District 43 Chip Perfect both resigned. So parties held caucuses to replace them. For 67, Alex Zimmerman, and Lawyer from North Vernon and staffer for the Indiana State Senate won. Definitely the establishment choice their. For 43, Perfect's own business partner Randy Maxwell won. His two opponents, Sam Mortensen and Joe Volk both told me that the precinct committeemen were "told to vote for Randy". So in both cases, the incumbent resigned so that the local party could hold a precinct committeemen caucus and be able to install their own establishment choice and that way the new Representative/Senator would have the incumbent advantage going into their next election. Zimmerman handily beat Chad Meinders in the 2024 primary and was unopposed in 2026. Randy Maxwell was challenged by Joe Volk again in 2026 and was able to win fairly easily. This is a simple but EFFECTIVE way for the establishment to keep their guys in power. They are trying to do this with Max Engling, but unfortunately for them Diego isn't going away lol.

INDIANA 2026 Republican Convention In addition to the tumultuous Secretary of State position to be voted upon by elected and appointed Delegates at the 2026 convention, no one is discussing the two other positions (Comptroller aka (Auditor) and the Treasurer). Not that it matters, because the incumbents are unchallenged with Delegates simply rubber stamping the GOP selections. Perhaps this was intentional to further disenfranchise Delegates and further centralize power away from Hoosiers and given to the @indianagop. In 2022 @DanielElliottIN wins by three votes 🗳️at the convention to become the Republican nominee for Treasurer; Elliott goes on in the fall election to win Indiana Treasurer. Interestingly @Comp_Nieshalla lost to Elliott at the 2022 Convention, by those same three votes. I know, I was there representing an elected VANDERBURGH Delegate. The outcome may have been different since most of the VANDERBURGH County left the convention after Holli Sullivan was defeated as Secretary of State earlier in the caucus. Remember Sullivan had been previously APPOINTED by the GOP to complete the vacated position by Connie Lawson. The 2022 uncontested Republican Comptroller candidate at the convention was Tera Klutz. In 2023, Klutz resigns and the Indiana GOP then APPOINTS Nieshalla as Comptroller. There is a pattern by the GOP to APPOINT rather than ELECT. The delegates assume they have free will to determine candidates, when in realty it’s premeditated and manipulated, an illusion of choice. Elliott and Nieshalla have already won the 2026 Republican Convention and no one is talking about these positions. The GOP continues to disenfranchise Hoosiers with political manipulations to present their preferred candidates of choice and block competition. The “Micah” politician or @TPUSA politician is something not in favor with the old Pence Republican cronies. We (Republicans in bad Standing) will be discussing more in depth about the inner workings of the Indiana GOP in an upcoming podcast. @LGMicahBeckwith @MicahBeckwith @GovBraun @Jamie4INgov @JayStarkeySen6 @PierceForIN @INFREEDOMCAUCUS @Jim_Banks

I can tell you that those counties in the southeast still have some remaining democrats. Scott County sheriff is Jerry Goodin. Twin brother of Terry Goodin. Elected twice I believe. Jennings County had a Democratic sheriff not even 10 years ago, Gary Driver. He's running again this year and could very well get elected again due to the corruptionof outgoing sheriff Kenny Freeman. The mayor of North Vernon is Shawn Gerkin. The GOP didn't even field a candidate against him. The incumbent GOP mayor at the time Mike Ochs even endoesed him. The town of Hanover in Jefferson County has many democrats is local government. The county prosecutor is David Sutter and he is unopposed for reelection. Switzerland County Judge Greg Coy is up for re-election and is popular with many people. And even in Ripley County the Otter Creek Township Trustee Cynthia Melton has been one of the county's only elected Democrats for a while and hasn't been taken out yet. She does have a challenger this year though.

Here is the results from the Secretary of State election from 20 years ago. Todd Rokita was the Republican incumbent. He won by 5 points. Look at how blue Southern Indiana used to be for local/state elections, and how red the Indianapolis suburbs were. Totally different world.

Big fan. Used to be my favorite president when I was a kid. Now he's either second or third. Led the nation through the Civil War. Could someone else have done better? Maybe. We'll never know. At the end of the day the Union came out of the war intact. That's all that matters. My one complaint about him is the suspension of Habeas Corpus. I understand why he did it though. The war needed to be won at ALL COSTS.

The years of brazen corruption wasn’t enough for Mark and the Indiana GOP to beak from Diego. But the pulling of the race card would be a bridge too far! 🙄 Don’t quit! Go Diego go!
Mark Warner 🇺🇸🇮🇱@mwarner95

Hey @cdiegomorales, you want to play this game? You pulled a page right out of the Dem playbook. Watch how many more people pull their support for you this next week. Don't start the racism fight. Resign and walk away.

Are we REALLY trying to say that people who use sex toys are degenerates? I mean damn, I thought we lived in a free country where as long as you weren't hurting people you could do whatever you want. I'm honestly trying to figure out why this even a talking point? It's so irrelevant. Like, when selecting a Secretary of State, there should be TWO factors. Who is the most qualified to do the job and who will do the job the most honestly. David Shelton is the ONLY candidate who fits BOTH of those. Being a County Clerk gives him DIRECT experience with overseeing elections, just at a smaller scale than the SoS. And he has been awarded Indiana Clerk of the Year in the past, so obviously he is good at his job and hasn't had any scandals of note. No offense to Max, but he doesn't have NEARLY that level of a resume. And when it comes to the campaign, Shelton has been the one campaigning and meeting delegates for the past year. Max literally JUST filed and the establishment is ALREADY trying to anoint him the savior of the election. Maybe by the convention Max will convince me otherwise, but right now it seems to me that the CLEAR, OBVIOUS, and COMMON SENSE nominee for the Republicans is David Shelton.

@TheGOPRedneck I mean if you're fine with more degenerates in office then....

@TheGOPRedneck I promise you that no one crapped their pants over Rust endorsing Shelton. As a matter of fact, he made it worse for himself by doing so, and I personally told him that.
