Utterly horrific this can happen when she has been the target of so much hate and violence in the past. A brave woman indeed. I hope she recovers and they find the person who tried to murder her.

@apostateali I don't think "Islam" (through its primary original sources) ever made such claims. Rather they're more so the claims of modern-day apologists.

Islam claims to have provided slaves a way out and eventually attain freedom* unless its freedom from the slavery of Islam, Allah & Muhammad, in that case the punishment is death. *didn't abolish it all together, so for a "perfect religion"!

@mg19762 The closer you get to that area, the more those differences cannot be dismissed as geographical errors. If the mosque is in Haifa area, then you can't tell the difference, but if it's in southern Israel, you certainly can.

@TheMaskedArab Given that there isn't that much of a difference in orientation, couldn't both sides argue that it was meant to face in one direction but faces another because of limitations in geographical knowledge?

@TheMaskedArab Read it and other sources. Law was implemented after Islamic terrorist attacks, and is meant to homogenize youth & monitor behaviour. Reactionist policies. Couple that with other recent laws targeting Muslims in France & it paints grim picture. Not simply about school attendance

That would be crazy if true. But it's a lie. If you actually read the article, it's an ID number to ALL children regardless of religion to ensure they're not skipping schools. The parents of those not going to school are potentially penalised. That's it.
