@wxbrad This is incorrect. Lake Murray is a man-made lake which has a dam and the water level remains constant, for the most part. When hurricanes or large weather events are predicted they may release some water. But it is almost always constant to produce energy.

So this was felt much more and over a larger area than recent quakes in this area. The recent #earthquake swarm near Lake Murray could be due to changing water levels and the weight of the water on the underlying rock. This caused a similar swarm further north on the Lake Monticello Reservoir. #scwx
