Examine your emotive thoughts. You will notice they are rooted in either: a) a past you cannot change b) a future that may not be as you anticipate (Mo Gawdat). We spend vast energy on such thoughts - imagine what we could achieve if we instead channelled it on the here and now!

@Roundall @Cherwellcouncil @GRFootball Any info on comparative sized towns and their facilities? Why is Banbury so under invested (presuming this is the case?). Presume local council budget decision?

We’ll soon be entering the football season for 23/24 and keen to know if there is a town as big as #Banbury (60,000 population and growing) with no modern 3G or 4G facilities. Another year goes by, over 100 youth teams in the area - it’s a joke! @Cherwellcouncil @GRFootball

Mistrustful managers / orgs create rules in an attempt to protect themselves from people 'inevitably' trying to cheat the system. This succeeds only in creating a culture of compliance, which slowly strangles the biz of creativity, flexibility and perhaps worst of all, goodwill.

As a manager you have to accept people will not do things the way you would. But get used to it! If you try and force them you create resent (people are intrinsically motivated by autonomy, control = the opposite) + dependence (can't do it without support). Neither are productive

29. Trait Ascription Bias: We tend to view ourselves as having a fluid personality that adapts to the environment, while viewing others as having fixed personalities. "I acted unreasonably because I was under pressure. He acted unreasonably because that's just who he is."

@JoMichaels17 @primevideosport That's the million dollar (or maybe 40 million pounds!) Question. Let's see how Frank gets on. I believe people only change if they want to so it has to start with him wanting to achieve more and perhaps that has been the issue to date. Will be interesting to see how he does.

@The_BizBrain @primevideosport I like your comments - thoughtful & insightful. BUT how does a coach get through to player of Dele's undoubted ability when he is consistently underperforming, affecting not just his own career/profile/value, but more importantly the progress and ambitions of the team?

@MistateeT @primevideosport If you read my comments I said I expect Jose tried many techniques. I commented here about this approach specifically and whether it was productive to inspiring performance. Sounds like you have an expectation of how Brits view Jose and have fit this to your narrative.#moronic 🤨

@The_BizBrain @primevideosport Once they are English the opinion on Jose is expected to be moronic. I mean just read this one talking absolute nonsense because it's Jose.

@Enwagboso @primevideosport He's there to get the best out of his players. I'm sure the approach works for some, the best leaders flex their style to get the best out all types. Why was Dele so good under poch? Maybe it's just a timing thing or maybe he responded better to him. Only Dele will really know.

@The_BizBrain @primevideosport Should he have pampered him? We all watched the same straight talk with Kane. Kane responded on the pitch. He started with Dele's positive works at MKDons and England and arrived at his up and downs at TOT. He's there to coach and not pamper him. Dele's demeanor says it all.

@footballconfid1 @primevideosport Everyone's different, what motivates you or you would respond to isn't the same for everyone. Of course I'm not suggesting Jose is a bad manager based on this, maybe he tried many approaches. Purely commented on what we saw here and speculating whether it had the output he wanted

@kevin41878869 @AmirKohan @primevideosport Perhaps? Maybe it was just timing that Poch got the best out of him and the fame / fortune has distracted him. Or maybe there is a style of leadership he responds to and could get back to his best under. I guess only Dele truly knows.

@Enwagboso @primevideosport Not absolving Dele of responsibility, just questioning if Jose's approach here was effective / did it have a positive impact? Based on the body language I suspect not. A leaders role is to maximise the performance of their team, so was this effective leadership?

@The_BizBrain @primevideosport You think it should be a party with a drink discussion. Very factual and effective feedback from Jose Mourinho, there. If Dele was interested in saying a word, he should've done so. He just looked disinterested and walked away. He's immature and should blame himself.

@RadcliffeRhinos @primevideosport It may well have been right, but did it have the right impact? Or was there another way to approach it that could have driven more? Of course its all speculation based on 1 convo, perhaps Jose tried other approaches too. A v different style to poch tho who got the best out of him

@carlschoice @primevideosport Perhaps. Question is - did this conversation help or hinder Dele's attitude / performance. Was there another way which would have had a better impact? Why was he so good under poch and now fallen away? Could be completely down to him or maybe there's a way to unlock more 🤔

@The_BizBrain @primevideosport Everyone responds differently Cuddle or clout as it use to be known , but if someone tells you your issue is party and lifestyle in a roundabout way and 3 top managers have the same issue with performances then the issue is his alone

@BukunBLACK @primevideosport I'm just posing a question as to whether the leadership / coaching approach here is / was successful. Not to say his coaching style didn't vary. The body language and subsequent performances certainly suggest it didn't help, but of course not absolving Dele of responsibility.
