I've finally started reading this amazing book. Every South African must read and learn from this. Only up to chapter 5 and so much more to learn from the Zumanomics fiasco. Take a bow Jacques Pauw! #ThePresidentsKeeper

@Frye_WSS Hi Darren. Follower here from South Africa. You mentioned all the disease etc last year for corn in the US and thinking yield will take a hit to 170 or less but the final yield remain very high. Did the disease southern rust etc have no impact in the end? Regards.

@Werries_ Jansen really should bowl all of his 4 over here upfront. He is not as good as a death bowler yet. Wicket taker with the new ball. Use that! Bosch Ngidi and Rabada should be used for the last 4.

@Werries_ Don't forget to mention the Bumrah masterclass. Good score when you consider he took 3/15 in 4 overs. Time for Rabada to step up and show how good he can be.

144/4 after 15 overs Ending on 187/7 Brilliant bowling by India, but also a real lack of urgency from the Proteas Target feels underpar We will have to strike early and regularly to stand a chance to defend this A big powerplay with the bat and this chase becomes easy

@Werries_ If Stoinis is gping to be your opening bowler for the t20 world cup you wont win many games. Not sure what the Aussie selectors are smoking...

@LawrenceBailey0 Stubbs rightfully dropped unfortunately. I like the guy but he has really underperformed to his ability. Still feel a batsmen light here. LDP or Rickleton at the top with Markram at 3 just seems so much stronger. A lot of faith has been given to Ferreira. Klaassen just a big loss

@grantbn6 Grant, I have seen on Twitter. You are a stats guy. Is it possible that you can show our best bowlers domesticly over the past 2 years in the 4-day and 50 over comp? I just want to see how those selected currently compare to Beyers Swanepoel.

@The_Fickster Absolutely. Nearly pulled off a Pakistan there. It's so hard throwing a bunch of guys together who all have minimal caps.

From the India tour we have 12 ODIs left before the WC, we should be picking our strongest 15 & have 5/6 back-ups in mind. I still think our bowling is a massive issue. We lack a special spark that can strike fear into opposition.

@Werries_ Werries, why do the selectors not like Beyers Swanepoel at all? I am sure over the past few years, he has performed better than Williams Baartman Ngidi Burger and Coetzee domesticly. And he can bat a bit as well. Surely he is good enough to make this squad?

Victory for Pakistan We kept losing wickets through the middle overs, while Pakistan formed solid partnerships throughout, even though it turned out closer than it should have been Outplayed tonight by the better team

@LawrenceBailey0 Baartman was terrible in the T20s as well. Bowled a few horrendous overs. What is his selection even based on? Is he performing domesticly? Hope he proves me wrong.

@LawrenceBailey0 Breetzke must open, isn't that the exact position he had his success so far? I mean batting him at 5 in the T20s was absolutely pathetic selection. Are they trying to destroy his career and confidence. Play in your best/fav position or don't play at all. It's not rocket science

@Werries_ You are absolutely right. Can't blame the toss here. We could have easily scored 350+ on this wicket on days 2 and 3. I just hope some guys step up domestically because we have some spots available for sure. Verreyne must be the first to go and Brevis is not a test player yet.

My biggest disappointment is that this pitch isn't even a raging turning We definitely should be able to bat on this, but we are simply just not doing a good job 210/7

@profarmer Hey guys! Just a quick question. When you made these estimates in August. Did you assume normal growing conditions i.e precipitation for Aug and Sep ? Or is this a final estimate what you think the yields will be come January?

@Badgerswimr @MidwestMarkets Thanks. Ohio and Indiana, who finished planting later than Illinois according to the weekly USDA crop report should be impacted even more with this extreme dry finish?

@The_Fickster @MidwestMarkets I haven’t heard acres lower than last year at all. Acres are definitely higher. The added acres imo may not be great yielding acres

@Badgerswimr @MidwestMarkets I appreciate the reply! Thank you. Yes, of course, there will be areas/farmers who do well who planted early enough. But the last 6 weeks of your growing season have been very unfortunate. Maps are showing driest period in about 100 years or so. USDA Illinois yield just seem high

@The_Fickster @MidwestMarkets 10 days ago I was hearing some decent bean yields. Since then they have been disappointing reports. I haven’t heard any spots that communicate with me in Illinois that have yields above last year. Now that may just mean people with good years aren’t reporting to me
